Yay i've finally hit week 20 so im officially half way through this pregnancy.
My bump seems to have popped right out in the last two weeks, I had the suspicion that I could feel baby moving around in there since week 16 but wasn't sure as this is my first pregnancy so I've never experienced it before. Now i'm certain I can feel baby wriggling around which is lovely. Baby is more active in the evening and when I go to bed.
Our 20 week scan is on Wednesday and I can't wait to see baby again and hopefully find out what gender baby is. Then I can go nuts buying little baby things and coming up with the perfect name. I'm very excited!! :-)

January
So it's a new year and I finally moved into my new house with John. It's so nice having my own space. Been here nearly two weeks now and still haven't got round to completing the mammoth task of sorting out the wardrobe. All our clothes are piled Into the spare room at the minute.
I threw out so much before I packed but I still am looking at half my stuff wondering if I'll ever fit into it again post pregnancy? I made a start of the ironing and discovered the joy of sitting down to iron.
Been really ill since Wednesday, in fact all week I have been feeling drained but Wednesday I felt shaky and tired and had a temperature of 39.4c luckily someone at work had some paracetamol to take the edge off. Although I went from being frozen to having a hot flush.
My boss sent me to the doctors and the doctor said I had the flu. Feel a bit foolish for not getting the flu jab now :(
John had managed to get the time off work to come with me to the doctors which Im glad about as I didn't want to be anywhere alone at that moment.
We went home and unfortunately found our poorly old gerbil Cook had passed away which was very upsetting, we only just brought him to the new house on Saturday, but we both knew he wouldn't last long as he was very old. My dad picked him up to take back to his to house to bury in the garden with Cook's sister Cassie who we lost last September. To be honest we was both suprised that Cook lasted so long on his own he must have been lonely without Cassie but we made sure we gave him extra fuss and treats. He was a little fighter gerbil.
I was off work Thursday, felt slightly more stable but I had to go out for my 16 week midwife appointment, i got to hear the baby's heartbeat on a dopper! It was so exciting, especially as I didn't think I'd get to hear it. It definitely cheered me up.
I thought I was getting better but today hasn't been brilliant, Im sure I haven't got the flu as I am able to keep my food down, (apart from the occasional times yuk) but Im not feeling well at all.
Trying to get extra sleep but it just seems to make me feel better for a while and then I start overheating or feeling really cold again :(
So now I'm in bed with my hot water bottle, gonna go to bed early and try and sleep off this illness. I really hope I feel better in the morning and that baby is ok.

Happy New Year!
So it's finally 2015, two days in it to be exact. My new years eve' was spent out at the pub with John, Dad and the sister, being pregnant I got to ring in the new year sober, which isn't too much of a downer as i'm not much of a drinker. But when everyone else is pretty 'merry' it can be a bit awkward, shyness tends to get the better of me in social situations like that, which means its hard to let loose and I end up looking like the misery in the corner :S
I haven't made a new years resolution yet but it should be to:
"Stop worrying and start talking"
Went to the city centre today, wanted to look for things for the new house. Ended up with baking trays from Poundland, couldn't find much else home wise which was a bit disappointing.
Also went into H&M, I wanted to buy some of their Basic Skirts, I have been meaning to get some of them for ages but never seem to. I like them as they are stretchy and they can be dressed up or down. Plus anything stretchy is good with a growing belly. They were out of my size in the black skirts so I didn't get any in the end.
Had a look in the sales while at the city centre too, and I have to say there wasn't much that would make me want to part with my cash which is a shame as I do love a good bargain.
Ended up buying a two pack of leggings from New Look for £12.99. I like them as I think they are pretty good quality for the price and lately I have been living in leggings as I have given up on my jeans as they are too uncomfortable.

Day 100
So according to my Pregnancy app on my Ipad, today is day 100 of my pregnancy. At 14 weeks and 2 days I am very excited.
The second trimester is supposed to be the 'easy' bit of the pregnancy and i'm hoping I will get that glow that the books talk about!
Bump is getting a bit bigger now although it must be part chocolate! Guess now is a good time to start trying sleeping on my left but I find sleeping on one side all night isn't too comfortable. I will have to look at Pregnancy pillows!
Plus if i'm on my left I miss out on being the little spoon as me and John swapped sides of the bed, give it a few weeks and the baby might start kicking him in the back! My mum always used to say I did that to my dad when she was pregnant with me.
My dad was going through the photo albums earlier and saw the ultrasound of me, quality has definitely gotten better since 1991 when I was in the womb. Also asked him how much I weighed when I was born, he said I wasn't big but he didn't know exactly. Typical dad, mum would have known, it must be written down somewhere.
Today is also 1 week until me and John move into our very first home. It will be so nice to have our own little place as we are currently living at my dad's, so what better reason to fly the nest then to make a home for our little arrival in a few months.
We have gotten the big things for our house but still need the little electricals and extras and my nan is getting us tea-towels as a present :)
